Why we built an AI Sommelier

With more than 20 years in wine and spirits retail, the founders of Pinpointed were not just selling bottles. They were listening carefully and helping customers choose with confidence. Every conversation started with what people truly needed: a pairing for a Sunday roast, a celebration, a quiet night in, or a gift where the meaning mattered more than the price.

They learned something early on: the magic is not in the product. It is in the guidance.
